The plant is real.
The team is small.
The window to join early is closing.
CullBeck is commercialising a breakthrough hydrogen direct reduction process that removes CO2 from steelmaking. We are building our demonstration plant at Glenbrook, New Zealand, and we are hiring the people who will make it work.
We hire for capability, not credentials.
This is not a research project looking for its first engineer. The technology is proven. The site is secured. The funding is in place.
What we need now are experienced people who have built and run heavy industrial plants, who know what it takes to deliver at this scale, and who are ready to do it in an environment where the pace is faster and the stakes are higher than anything they have worked on before.
The people who thrive at CullBeck tend to share a few things. They have spent serious time in heavy industry, oil and gas, steel, mining, dairy, defence, or similar. They understand what it means to deliver on an industrial site, not just in a lab or an office. They are solutions-focused and schedule-conscious. And they are done waiting for someone else to lead.
We are not looking for people who need everything defined before they start. We are looking for people who can define it.
Why join CullBeck?
Proven Technology
Our hydrogen DRI process was developed at Victoria University of Wellington and spun out with real IP, a proprietary reactor design, and a clear pathway to commercial scale.
Small Team, Real Authority
The team joining now shapes how this company gets built. There is no layer of management between you and the work that matters.
Backed and Funded
We have secured funding with a 2.5 year runway to reach our demonstration milestones. You are joining at the right moment, early enough to matter, late enough to be real.
A Platform with Global Ambition
The demonstration plant at Glenbrook is the beginning. The roadmap runs to commercial scale and international markets. The people who build the demo plant build the company.
The Team Behind the Technology
CullBeck was founded by people who have spent careers in steel, energy, and hard tech. Our technical leadership includes internationally recognised expertise in direct reduced iron, fluid bed systems, and materials science. You will work closely with this team from day one.

Want to be a part of it?
We're building a small, high-calibre team to bring this to life. If you've spent your career in heavy industry and you're ready to do something that actually matters, we'd like to talk.
